Cumrige Self-Cleaning Litter Box Review: The M2 on Amazon, Its Error Stops, and What We Couldn't Confirm

We have one Cumrige model in our database, the M2, Amazon listing B0DFM4Z71X, first available 08/29/2024. Amazon ranked it #3,592 in Pet Supplies on 10/09/2026, and the listing reported "3K+ bought in past month." Walmart carries several 95 L Cumrige listings, and owner videos mention an M5, but Walmart showed our tools a "Robot or human?" screen on 10/14/2026; cumrige.com itself lists four boxes, the M2, M4, M5, and E (10/14/2026).

The cumrige.com product page also says "1-Year Replacement Warranty," and the refund policy gives official-site buyers a 365-day return window and a "365-day limited warranty"; a "$30 OFF M2 & E" code was advertised the same day (10/14/2026). The Amazon page did not show us a seller name on 10/09/2026 or 10/14/2026, and on 10/14/2026 it showed no price to our tools.

Amazon's product information lists "Warranty Description: 1 year" (10/09/2026 and 10/14/2026). Through Amazon the return window is the listing's "30-day refund/replacement." Cumrige's refund policy covers only orders placed on cumrige.com: a return "within 365 days of delivery," with return shipping on the buyer for non-quality returns, and a "365-day limited warranty" (10/14/2026). A claim starts with troubleshooting, then "A free replacement of the same model originally purchased; Or a partial or full refund"; it needs an order number or proof of purchase, may need "photos, videos, or application logs," and excludes "damage caused by misuse, modification, improper handling, or unauthorized repair." For Amazon or Walmart orders, the policy says the platform's terms apply. Trustpilot rates cumrige.com 3.6 of 5 over 39 reviews (10/14/2026); two September 2026 reviewers describe warranty claims, one "repeatedly ... denied the option for replacement or repair" while "still ... under warranty" (09/20/2026), another "a month and a half away from my 1 year warranty being up" (09/22/2026).

The Amazon listing describes no subscription or paid plan for the M2 (10/09/2026), and its bullets say cleaning cycles run from the sensors without the app; the app adds remote control and alerts. Wi-Fi is "Compatible with 2.4G WiFi only."

The app is Tuya's "Smart Life," a platform app used by many brands, not a Cumrige app. On 10/09/2026 it rated 4.6 over 44,475 App Store ratings and 4.5 over about 540,000 on Google Play, figures that reflect every Tuya device, not this litter box. Its App Store label lists contact info, identifiers, and usage data as Data Linked to You and has a "Data Used to Track You" section.

Cumrige prints no replacement interval, so we can't price a year. Cumrige sells "Stretchable Cat Litter Liners – 3 Rolls/Pack" from $24.99 on cumrige.com (10/14/2026), with no bag count on the catalog page and no replacement interval. One owner with two cats (Amazon, 09/26/2026) reports "about 1 bag per 2~4 days." A 10-pack of deodorizers "Compatible with Fumoi & Cumrige" is $34.99, from a third-party seller. Our first-year figure is the device alone, $199.99 before tax, and it is incomplete.

No recall found as of 10/14/2026: the saferproducts.gov recall API returned no results for "Cumrige" or for "litter box" on 10/09/2026 and again on 10/14/2026.

Nothing Cumrige claims has an independent measurement behind it.

Amazon lists the M2 at 19.69 x 21.65 x 26.18 in and 30.4 lb; cumrige.com gives a 25.98 in height, a 19.69 x 21.65 in footprint, a 9.84 in entryway width, and 23.15 lb net weight (10/14/2026); neither prints an entry height or a power rating. A video review, "I Bought The #1 Best Selling Auto Litter Box On Amazon" (Adrian Reviews It, 08/08/2025), carries an Amazon affiliate link and no measurements in its description.

Not enough owner reviews read yet (10 read on Amazon through 10/09/2026; the full review list needed a sign-in). Reddit was not reachable for our tools, and TheCatSite had no threads on Cumrige.

In the 10 we read, sensor errors, motor or mechanical faults, and customer support each came up twice. The sharpest complaint (Amazon, 04/25/2026): "Every possible trigger would cause a shutdown - every possible error message. ALL Of them. Almost randomly." The same owner later traced it to the bag tray: "the only 'real' malfunction happened when I replaced a bag in the disposal tray and accidentally covered the 3 magnets." Another owner (09/26/2026) logged "the only error I've come across so far which is just a clump stopping the rotating."

Amazon's own tally of mentions on 10/09/2026 is the larger sample, though not one we read: quiet operation 281 positive and 15 negative; size 1,413 positive and 244 negative; reliability 915 positive and 316 negative.

What we checked: the Amazon listing B0DFM4Z71X, its product information and 10 reviews, Amazon's aspect summary, the Tuya Smart Life listings on the App Store and Google Play, one owner video, and the CPSC recall API, all on 10/09/2026; cumrige.com, the Trustpilot page, the Amazon listing, and the CPSC recall API again on 10/14/2026. The manual mirror did not open.

Best for: a buyer who wants a large rotating drum under $200 for cats up to 33 lb, is comfortable with a generic app, and will buy on Amazon's 30-day or cumrige.com's 365-day return terms. Skip if: you want a manual or a printed consumables schedule, you're buying on Amazon but counting on the 365-day terms (they cover cumrige.com orders only), or error stops are the problem you are trying to leave behind.

Closest match with a store link: the CATLINK Scooper SE, also a rotating globe, $259 on sale against $359 list at catlinkus.com (10/09/2026), rated for cats from 3 lb 8 oz to 22 lb, with a 1-year warranty, 90-day returns, and about $456 in the first year with bags and the hydrogel deodorizer. It costs more, has a lower weight ceiling, and its app rates 2.8 of 5 on the App Store, but its maker prints a manual and a consumables interval. Other low-cost options are on cheap automatic litter boxes, and the full ranking, the Scooper SE included, is on best automatic litter boxes.
