Short answer

TailSpecs has no accounts, no forms and no ads. The site stores your comparison picks in your own browser, our host keeps standard server logs, and we do not sell or share personal information. California residents have the rights described below.

Who we are

TailSpecs (tailspecs.com) is an independent website.

What we collect

  • Nothing you type. The site has no sign-up, comments or contact form.
  • Your comparison picks. When you add models to "Compare", the picked models (ID, name and category) are saved in your browser's local storage so the picks survive a page reload. They never leave your device; clear them with "Clear" or your browser settings.
  • Server logs. The site is hosted on Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes your IP address, browser type and the pages requested in order to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.
  • Analytics. TailSpecs does not use analytics or advertising cookies. If that changes, this section will name the tool and what it collects.

A click on "Check price" takes you to the brand's store. Where the brand's affiliate program is active, the store or its affiliate network may set its own cookies under its own privacy policy, and TailSpecs receives only reports of clicks and sales, never your name or payment details. Email

If you email us, we use your address and message only to reply, and delete them when the matter is closed unless the law requires otherwise.

Your California privacy rights (CCPA/CPRA)

If you live in California, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, to ask us to delete or correct it, to opt out of its sale or sharing, and not to be treated differently for using these rights. TailSpecs does not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act. Children

TailSpecs is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their information.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date under the title changes with it.
